With his mark for Week 14 at 70.5, taking his over in our sportsbook is as easy of a bet to take than many others in this game.
It’s Not all About A.J. Brown in Philly
Philadelphia star WR A.J. Brown is great, one of the best in the NFC and the NFL in general. But how about we start showing DeVonta Smith a little more love here? The former Heisman Trophy winner has continuously been a lock for Philadelphia as WR2.
On Sunday Night Football, against the Dallas Cowboys, in a potential NFC title game preview, I’m looking for Smith to become Philadelphia’s ace under its sleeve, especially now that the team has shifted toward a pass-first offense.
In Philly’s first game against the Cowboys back in Week 9, Smith was only able to catch three passes, with Dallas’ coverage doing a stealthy job locking him down. Still, those three catches amounted to 51 yards, showing that when Smith is given the ball, explosiveness is assured.
As his O/U is slated at 56.5 yards, bet on Smith’s over, even if NFL Vegas odds show the Eagles as underdogs.
Fancy some Lamb?
Unlike Smith, who was covered to the brim in Week 9’s game against the Cowboys, Dallas’ star WR CeeDee Lamb had quite a day for himself, catching 11 passes for 191 yards. As it’s been noted by NFL news outlets, Lamb has been a constant advocate about how he is the best receiver in the league.
Do I agree? Not personally. I’m more about Tyreek Hill’s explosiveness after the pass, and Justin Jefferson’s overall skills. But Lamb is up there, at least in the top 5. That won’t stop Lamb from continuing to believe he’s the best in the league, so more power to him.
Considering Philadelphia’s secondary is coming into this game after getting obliterated by San Francisco’s passing attack last week, imagine what Dak Prescott and Lamb could do if they get in sync from the get-go?
In what promises to be the game of the week between Super Bowl LVIII odds heavy hitters, taking Lamb’s prop is the way to go here.
Question Of The Day
Which NFC East player should I target for an NFL player prop bet in Week 14?
