Red Bull enters English football with Leeds United deal | Football News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: English Championship side Leeds United announced on Thursday that Red Bull has acquired a minority stake in the club and will serve as their shirt sponsor. This partnership marks Red Bull’s expansion into English football, adding to its portfolio of clubs, which includes RB Leipzig in Germany and Red Bull Salzburg in Austria. Unlike its other teams, Leeds United will retain its name and badge.
The deal promises to bring in new commercial revenues and additional capital investment, providing the club with resources to enhance its competitiveness both on and off the pitch. With ambitions of securing promotion to the Premier League next season, Leeds United sees this partnership as a strategic move to bolster its position in the English football landscape.

Previously owned by 49ers Enterprises, the investment arm of the NFL franchise San Francisco 49ers, Leeds United has been on an upward trajectory. The club narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League this season, reaching the Championship playoff final but falling short against Southampton.
The partnership with Red Bull signifies a significant milestone for Leeds United, offering financial stability and the potential for further growth as they continue their pursuit of top-flight football.
