WASHINGTON (TND) — The controversy and red flags surrounding a squad member in Congress that various news outlets say belong to a secret Facebook group in which Hamas terrorists are glorified and Washington D.C. faces the highest risk of government jobs being replaced with AI.
Washington Insider Armstrong Williams joined The National Desk’s Dee Dee Gatton to discuss.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich. has been part of a secret social media group in which its members have glamorized Hamas in its war with Israel, according to various news outlets. The group reportedly contains numerous terrorist sympathizers who regularly post in support of Hamas.
Williams added the group is private on Facebook and no one has access to the Palestinian American Congress group where she belongs.
“It was created and founded by a very close friend of hers, Maher Abdel-qader, who advocates whether the holocaust ever existed, anti-Semitism, and they glorified Hamas after the attacks on Oct. 7. What else do we need to know?” he said.
Williams also touched on AI reportedly threatening to replace jobs in the nation’s capital and what that means for the high concentration of government workers.
A recent report by Salarship, an online job board company, highlighted Washington DC is at the highest risk in regards to AI replacing jobs with approximately 1/3 of all jobs at risk.
“I don’t know if many people realize this but Washington D.C. is the most bureaucratic state in the United States, which are far more vulnerable to AI. So many federal jobs and positions will be eliminated,” Williams said. “As you said, 33% of employees will be eliminated eventually because of AI. And not California, not New York, D.C. is the most threatened than any other place in the United States.”
