Beauty chain Sephora is opening two new UK stores outside London

It’s the cult beauty store that has tweens in a chokehold. And right now, if you want to shop in Sephora in the UK, you have to trek all the way to one of its two sites in London. But that won’t be the case for much longer – Sephora is heading up north.

We found out back in December that the brand will be opening a store in Manchester in the summer, which will be its first UK site outside of the capital. Now it’s been revealed that Newcastle is also set to get its own branch of the legendary makeup emporium.

The new store will span 6,600 square feet and sell products from over 1,500 brands. It’s unclear at the moment whether, like their London sisters, the new outposts will include space where customers can enjoy some professional pampering.

Sephora actually launched its first UK store way back in 2000 and grew rapidly. But the brand left fans broken-hearted when it was forced to shut its doors in 2005. Almost 20 years later it made its long-awaited comeback with a flagship store opening in Westfield White City.

We don’t have an exact date for Newcastle’s Sephora yet but it will definitely be opening some time later this year. Watch this space for updates!

Stephen Patterson, chief exec of Newcastle’s Business Improvement District company, said: ‘News that global beauty brand, Sephora will also be coming to Newcastle is extremely exciting and a huge accolade, as this will be only the brand’s fourth UK store. The opening will be much-anticipated and will cement Newcastle’s reputation as a great city for shoppers.’
