One month after being installed as PwC’s incoming senior partner, Marco Amitrano has announced the firm’s new Management Board ahead of his leadership commencing at the start of July.

Individuals who made the cut include the firm’s head of tax Laura Hinton and its head of audit Hemione Hudson – who were both on the shortlist to succeed Kevin Ellis as the firm’s UK and Middle East senior partner.

Notably, around half of the 13-person Management Board members are fresh appointments. “The new board members are team players, but bring diversity of thought and have the confidence to challenge. They also share a desire to get things done – I’m excited about what we can achieve together,” said Amitrano.

Laura Hinton
Role: Managing Partner

Laura Hinton is UK Tax Leader and has been a UK Management Board member for over 7 years. She also holds the role of PwC EMEA Executive Team Chair, sits on the Global Tax Leadership Team and is a member of the firm’s Clients and Markets Executive Committee.

Hemione Hudson
Role: Chief Network Officer

Hemione Hudson has been a member of the UK Management Board for over 7 years and is the UK Head of Audit and the firm’s Head of Reputation. She is also a member of the Public Interest Body, Audit Oversight Body, the Clients & Markets Executive,  Executive Risk Committee and the Global Assurance Leadership Team.

Alison Statham
Role: Chief Risk Officer/Office of General Counsel

Alison Statham has been a member of PwC’s Executive & Management Board for over 2 years, and holds the current position of Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel. She works closely with her risk colleagues globally as a leading territory representative.

Carl Sizer
Role: UK Head of Regions & Platforms

Carl Sizer drives PwC’s market approach to addressing the most significant challenges and opportunities that its clients face. He joined the firm in 1999, and became a partner in 2009.

Andy Hammond
Role: Head of Audit

Andrew Hammond leads the Audit practice of PwC. He has been with the accounting and consulting firm for close to three decades.

Jonathan House
Role: Head of Consulting

Jonathan House is the division leader of PwC, which also oversees the firm’s strategy consulting business Strategy&. House joined the Big Four firm in 2013, and concentrates on business model redesign, public services reform and the growth agenda.

Lucy Stapleton
Role: Head of Deals

Lucy Stapleton is PwC’s UK Deals Leader and is responsible for the Transactions, Value Creation & Realisation, Restructuring and Forensics and Lead Advisory businesses. She has been a partner at PwC since 2006.

Claire Reid
Role: Head of Risk

Claire Reid is a Glasgow-based partner at PwC. A member of the Risk Assurance practice, she leads the firm’s business across Scotland. In addition to the regional responsibility, she also lead the Technology Risk business nationally.

Claire Blackburn
Role: Head of Tax

Claire Blackburn is a Listed and Inbound Market Leader for Tax and member of the Tax Leadership Team. She specialises in transfer pricing. Internally, she is strongly committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture.

Simon Hunt
Role: Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Simon Hunt is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Audit business. He previously led the UK Banking & Capital Markets Assurance practice and prior to that was the Chief Operating Officer for the Financial Services business. 

Phillippa O’Connor
Role: Chief People Officer

Phillippa O’Connor has over 20 years of experience as a business consultant, specialising in HR and remuneration. She works with boards and HR directors to solve a wide range of issues in the people space, including pay, diversity, equity and inclusion issues and broader HR transformation.

Umang Paw
Role: Chief Technology Officer

Umang Paw is a Forensics partner and the Chief Technology Officer of the Deals business where he supports our clients with investigations, legal technology and executing on large and complex programmes.

Taking over from the current Management Board led by Kevin Ellis, the new leadership team will lead a business generating £5.8 billion in revenues and approximately 25,000 people across the United Kingdom.
