Thunder vs. Mavericks schedule: Updated scores, results and bracket for 2024 NBA Playoff series | Sporting News United Kingdom

Their paths to the Western Conference semifinals were distinct, but familiar foes are set to face off in the second round of the NBA Playoffs as the No. 1 Thunder meet the No. 5 Mavericks.

After earning the top seed in the Western Conference on the final day of the regular season, Oklahoma City breezed through its first round matchup, sweeping New Orleans in four games. MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averaged a team-high 27.2 points, while breakout sensation Jalen Williams chipped in 21.3 points per game.

Chet Holmgren, meanwhile, stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per contest.

Dallas ousted a veteran Clippers squad in six games, ending the series with a triumphant 114-101 win in Game 6. The Mavericks stymied with Los Angeles with suffocating defense, holding the Clippers below 100 points in three of the six games.

Luka Doncic (29.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 9.5 assists) and Kyrie Irving (26.5 points) flashed their exceptional play-making ability, with Irving dazzling in a 30-point performance to close out the Clippers.

The teams met four times during the regular season, with Oklahoma City winning three of those meetings.
